Billy Goats Gruff

So its official.....Winter is over.....and what better way to welcome in the Spring than with lovely weather and a walk in Heaton Park. Admittedly, I'd have probably preferred the thousands of other people to have stayed at home, but what can you do? The queue for the ice-cream van was truly ridiculous. Anyroad, I had a walk around the rather disappointing farm and animal centre with my girlfriend, and couldn't resist getting the camera out (well, ok, I had planned to all along, but don't tell the mrs that!) for a couple of portrait pics of the few animals we could see. It was with some surprise that, while taking some up-close pics of a goat's face, he suddenly started fighting another buck. Unfortunately, I had my long lense on at the time, and even though I zoomed out as far as possible, it wasn't far enough and I still clipped one of the goat's horns off at the top of the pic below. By the time I'd taken a few steps back, the action was over. This upset me no end. And still does. At least the portrait pics came out ok.....
