Somewhat like Marmite, musicals seem to split people into two categories.....those who do, and those who don't. Personally, I'm quite a fan of certain musicals, I think mainly because my dad used to often play them when I was young. And for a photographer, the theatre presents all sorts of cool picture opportunities, with all the colours and costumes and dramatic, exaggerated poses. But it also presents a very challenging environment to capture pictures in, what with the constant action and the ever-changing lighting. Anyroad, below are a couple of my favourite pics I took at the JTC production of 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat', a great musical that I often listen to while editing my pics. For those that care, one of my ultimate jobs would be to photograph Alfie Boe in the role of Valjean in Les Miserables, so if any of my dear legions can sort that out for me, I'd be forever grateful.....
