Gabby and David were married with a beautiful ceremony at the Shaare Zedek Synagogue before heading off to celebrate in style at Manchester Airport’s Radisson Blu Hotel.
And it was at the hotel where my day started, photographing Gabby getting ready at her bridal prep. I always enjoy the contrast of the relative calmness of the bridal prep, compared to what comes later on in the day, and the variety of scenarios I have to shoot in is just another reason I love being a wedding photographer.
Before I knew it, I was off to the Bull’s Head to catch the end of David’s groom prep, before we all made our way over the road to the synagogue for the tish, bedeken and ceremony.
With a string quartet playing as Gabby walked down the aisle, and little pageboys and flower girls lining the front of the chuppah, the setting couldn’t have been more befitting of such a perfect couple.
With the ceremony over and the formal family photographs in the bag, I took a short little walk with the couple to what I can only describe as a random-but-rather-pretty walkway next to the synagogue, to get some pictures of the couple surrounded by greenery in an otherwise fairly concrete area.
And then we were off back to the Radisson Blu, where the celebrations really got underway.
Atmosphere’s make parties, and the entire evening it didn’t let up, offering a particularly warm and friendly environment to be snapping away in.
And once dinner was out of the way, I even managed to sneak upstairs with the couple for a few quick photographs in the tunnel connecting the hotel with the airport itself.
All in all, it was a truly beautiful day and evening, and a huge congrats to the happy couple.
