Darren & Natasha's Wedding - Sandhole Oak Barn, Macclesfield, Cheshire
If the sun is shining, I am happy.
Darren and Natasha celebrated their stunning wedding at the beautiful, purpose-built Sandhole Oak Barn in Macclesfield, Cheshire. And what a truly unbelievable day it was!
When I photograph a wedding, I typically start at the very start, arriving at the same time as the hair and make up people arrive in the morning. I then work solidly through until the first course of the wedding breakfast, when I normally take a short break (no one wants pictures of themselves with their mouths full of food!!).
And so it was during Darren and Natasha's big day, where I stepped outside for a moment to rest my feet for a couple of minutes. No sooner had I sat down, however, than I suddenly heard music coming from inside the banquet hall. So my assistant and I positively legged it back in to be greeted by the band having a good old sing-a-long with the entire wedding party. And really, calling it a 'sing-a-long' doesn't do it justice....this was energetic, passionate, standing-on-your-chairs singing. The type that signals a truly awesome wedding bash.
This picture was taken inbetween the next courses, when I managed to convince the bride and groom to go for a little walk amongst the gentle surrounding hills of Macclesfield and around the lake that acts as the centre-piece of this great wedding venue (I say 'convince', but they were game all along).
