Katie and Josh were married under one of the most stunning chuppah’s at Manchester’s Midland Hotel.
The Midland Hotel – a grade ii listed building, no less - is perhaps my most frequently visited hotel of all the hotels in the great city of Manchester, and I love it not just for its various ornate decorations, but for its central location too
And so my day began in one of their beautiful bridal suites, quietly snapping away as Katie and her girls got pampered and ready for the day ahead. And its always a pleasure working alongside the brilliant Tally Bookbinder, a make-up artist to the celebrities and brides alike.
Then it was over to Josh, as he got suited and booted with all his merry groomsmen, before heading outside to the Central Library columns for a few quite portraits.
By the time I got back to Katie, she was in her dress and ready for a few quite portraits before heading to her bedeken room, where she was eventually reunited with her groom as he pulled the veil back over her face.
The ceremony was beautiful, held under the most stunning chuppah, draped from top to bottom in an array of flowers, and all created by Verdure Floral Design.
And then everyone hit the dancefloor, and hit it hard they did.
A whirlwind of spinning, throwing, jumping and dancing ensued, with Under The Covers Function Band rocking the stage in their own inimitable style.
Throughout the evening there was a host of speeches and toasts, each as funny and heartfelt as the last.
But the night belonged on the dancefloor, and with such an electric atmosphere, it wasn’t entirely surprising.
Special mention to wedding planner Ben Morrison at We Are Events, who delivers the goods every single time I have the pleasure of working alongside him, and who always ensures the day runs along smoothly.
