Raphi’s barmitzvah, in Tennants Hall at Tatton Park, was simply spectacular.
In fact, just walking into building itself was quite a breathtaking affair, going through balloon arches and between two balloon walls and into the main room, where Kate Park Events had spun their magic.
The entire room had been turned into a visual treat full of culture, food, drinks, a photo booth, a chilling area under an incredible balloon structure, and of course a dancefloor capable of sustaining some serious dancing feet.
I had already photographed the family during the week at Raphi’s call-up at South Manchester Synagogue, so already knew what a warm, welcoming family they are, and so it was again for the party, where I felt more like a guest than someone working for the night.
But work I did, and with so much action going on at all times, I barely had a chance to catch my breath the whole night.
There was a lot of spinning, even more jumping, more than a few piggy-backs, plenty of throwing people in the air, and a completely full dancefloor right up until the last record was spun.
The speeches were also very amusing, setting up lots of ‘laughing audience’ opportunities for me to photographically capture.
Special mention also to Jonny Cocktail and his staff, who not only provide the best drinks, but bring a vibe all of their own that genuinely contributes to every event I’ve ever seen them at….great guys to have around!
But when the atmosphere is so electric, and all the guests are so up for a great time, I’ve no doubt the family have memories they’ll treasure for the rest of their lives.
And with my pictures, they have all the evidence they’ll ever need of all the shenanigans from the evening!
