Olivia & Daniel's Wedding - Hilton Hotel Liverpool

Olivia and Daniel celebrated their beautiful wedding at the Hilton Hotel, Liverpool.

But before then – a couple of months before then, actually – the three of us headed to Formby Beach for a quick engagement shoot.

Engagement sessions are a great opportunity to get used to having your picture taken, and photographing such a relaxed couple in such a beautiful setting made my job super easy for me.

And then we were on to the main event, where I started early at Olivia’s notably laid-back bridal prep, before joining Daniel and his groomsmen as they got ready for the big day ahead.

The wedding ceremony itself was beautiful and before we knew it the couple were making their way onto the dancefloor through a colourful shower of confetti.

I started the photographic journey covering various sporting events, and very much maintain my action photography tendencies, so the raucous Israeli dancing was right up my street and a lot of fun to throw myself into the mix of it with my camera.

Special mention must go to Olivia’s little nephew, who threatened to steal the show with not one, but two hearty renditions of Yellow Submarine during the course of the evening, getting all the adults off their chairs and on their feet, singing along with him. Seriously one of the cutest things I’ve seen at a wedding!

I also managed to sneak out with the couple during the evening for a couple of extra pictures of the newlyweds, and made use of the Hilton Hotel’s fairy-light-strewn staircase to create an intergalactic-style image (of sorts). Something a bit different, at least.

But really, when the couple are so fun together, and their friends and family are so well and truly up for a great party, the night is pretty much set. And so it proved to be, with the dancefloor full and bouncing right to the very end.

Another huge, huge congrats to the happy couple!
