Larissa and Michael celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Colshaw Hall, and what a truly awesome day it was.
It was my first time shooting at Colshaw Hall, having long since known of its reputation as a perfect wedding venue, and so it proved to be, with lush surroundings every direction you look in, and a beautiful grade ii building as its main feature.
And as with all good photographers, I love shooting in new venues, especially those as luxurious as this.
Anyroad, back to the wedding, and specifically the bridal prep, where it was immediately obvious what a fun wedding it was going to be, with so many warm and funny personalities surrounding the bride in waiting.
Meanwhile, Michael was able to get ready in the lodges, where he was joined by his merry band of groomsmen, as well as a friend/massage therapist who was able to sort out the groom’s creak in the neck. Definitely the kind of guest to have around on your wedding day.
The ceremony itself was held in the purpose-built Stables, itself beautifully decorated by Red Floral Architecture, and with the participation of various family members.
And then it was the confetti run, which frankly not enough weddings do! But always a traditional bit of fun for everyone, so why not?
Special mention must also go to the weather, which treated us all day with the most glorious sunshine and blue skies that continued into the evening.
And another special mention to Birdie Photobooth, and their pink VW camper-van booth – great people to work with, and providing me with some interesting and unusual photo opportunities to work with.
The evening party was as I had anticipated from earlier in the day….energetic, exuberant, lively, and just a whole lot of fun!
Another big, big congrats to the happy couple!
Here is but a selection of my images from the big day:
