Rob and Michaela celebrated their amazing wedding at the Lowry Hotel, Manchester, with a party that rocked well into the night.
Having photographed Michaela’s sister’s wedding just a couple of months ago, I knew before I even arrived what a great day and night it would turn out to be, and wasn’t disappointed.
My day began as always taking in the atmosphere of the bridal prep, photographing all the little details and goings-on as Michaela and her bridesmaids prepared themselves for the day ahead.
Equally relaxed and able to enjoy the moment was Rob, who was ready in a flash and before we knew it we were outside the hotel by the canal for a few quick shots of him and his groomsmen.
And then, as is always the way on a wedding day, the pace began picking up, first at the tish, then the bedecking, and culminating in the ceremony, where they were wed under a beautiful floral chuppah and with an aisle lined with candles.
With the ceremony over, and some family photographs in the bag, it was on to the celebrations….and what celebrations!
There are few things I enjoy more than capturing lots of action, and lots of people having a great time, and on the dancefloor I had an abundance of both.
I’m a big believer in getting in as close as possible to the action – I often feel like I’m in the eye of a huge storm swirling chaotically around me – and if I have to take a few bumps along the way, it’s a small sacrifice to make (ha….try telling that to my nose, poor thing!).
The entire evening in fact was notable for the warmth of the atmosphere, and just how much pleasure everyone took in celebrating with the happy couple.
Another huge, huge congrats to Michaela and Rob!
