Oliver and Ilana celebrated their awesome wedding at Manchester’s amazing The Vermilion.
As always on such occasions, my day started early, photographing all the goings on at Ilana’s bridal prep.
I do enjoy the moments before the main action gets going, with its unique blend of nervous energy and anticipation for the day ahead.
Oliver wasn’t far away for his grooms prep, which made running between the two that much easier for me
It was just a week since I’d last been at the Vermilion, which is fast becoming one of Manchester’s most popular venues, and I was happy to be back again.
Launched in 2017, the Vermilion is located just by Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium, and boasts beautifully designed spaces with a unique mix of bespoke modern and antique furnishings that have been sourced from around the world.
Upon arrival, Oliver was whisked away to his tisch, while Ilana took up her seat in the bedeken room.
At this point in a Jewish wedding day, the anticipation is palpable, and so it built as Oliver made his walk through to the bedeken to meet and veil his bride.
Walking through an arch of blossom trees at the top of the aisle, the happy couple had made their respective ways into the ceremony and before long they were standing as man and wife.
And as soon as the ceremony concluded, the atmosphere kicked up another notch, with their guests clearly eager to celebrate.
After a few quick family shots, and after taking advantage of the unique décor of the venue for a few quick couple shots, it was time to hit the dancefloor.
And hit it they did, with so much action going on so quickly that I was in my element just trying to capture it all. I am an Action Man, after all. Ahem.
The speeches were all warm and, at various times, amusing, and the fun and warm atmosphere never let up.
Another huge, huge congrats to the happy couple!
And here for your viewing pleasure is but a selection of my images from their big day:
