Tyler celebrated his barmitzvah with one of the coolest parties at the Victoria and Albert Hotel in Manchester.
I have shot many functions at the hotel before, and have always appreciated the character of the place, as well as some of its lovely surroundings (especially around the fountain at the front!).
Tyler himself was led onto the dancefloor with two Men In Black agents, carefully and expertly ensuring all unidentified foreign species were kept at bay, and Tyler safely made it through a positive storm of confetti.
And so it was on to the dancing, always an action-packed time for me, capturing all the spinning, jumping, skipping, etc that I can physically muster.
Tylers friends – lots of them – had everyone laughing with their speech, and giving me lots of great reactions to capture.
Later in the evening, beatboxers Bloxed Beats performed their energetic tunes, impressing all with their unique blend of beatboxing and singing popular tunes without the aid of any instruments beyond their mouths.
And then the limbo bar came out, with one boy even managing to get under it with just a couple of inches to manoeuvre his way through.
But all in all, everyone had a great time, and a big congrats to Tyler and his family.
And here for your viewing pleasure, is but a selection of my images from the night (and his rehearsal earlier in the week!):
