Jacob celebrated his recent barmitzvah with a really cool party at Manchester Maccabi.
As a former member of the Maccabi table-tennis team – not to mention having recently held my little girl’s birthday there – you could say I know the community centre pretty well.
So after getting the family shots in the bag, guests were entertained by the brilliant Ian Lavin, with his mystifying array of magic tricks, and who always gives me great reactions to capture.
And then Jacob made his confetti-covered entrance onto the dancefloor for a bit of the ol’ traditional Israeli dancing – always my favourite part of the celebrations.
Speeches throughout the evening were all amusing and heartfelt, and the video shown had everyone in stitches.
But the night belonged on the dancefloor, and when everyone is so clearly up for a great time, it makes my job particularly easy in capturing the fun..
Another huge, huge congrats to Jacob and family.
