Katie and Daniel celebrated their beautiful wedding at the famous The Majestic Hotel in Harrogate.
It was my first time at The Majestic, the same hotel that apparently Winston Churchill used to frequent when he came up north - a fact told to me on numerous occasions throughout the day by proud staff.
The wedding day itself - expertly organised as always by Ben Morrison of We Are Events - was a stripped-down affair, taking place as it was when Covid restrictions meant no more than 25 people could attend…..indeed, there was almost as many people working at the wedding as there were people celebrating it!
As ever, my day began early, capturing Katie’s bridal prep and all the shenanigans that that involves, will lots of bridesmaids around to help build the excitement.
It wasn’t long before I was joining Daniel as he got ready for the day ahead, and then back to Katie as she put the finishing touches to her dress.
The ceremony was an intimate affair, with the small crowd all seated immediately around the chuppah, and the darker settings really adding to the atmosphere.
Before we knew it, the ceremony was completed, the kettubah was signed, the family and couple portraits were in the bag, and it was time to head into dinner.
Despite the reduced numbers, once the band struck up the dance floor was the vibrant, buzzing hive of fun that I always love to photograph, with lots of dancing, spinning, jumping, and all sorts of other strenuous (but fun!) activities.
The speeches were both amusing and sentimental, with both bride and groom taking the spotlight and the mic during the evening.
And when the room is full of so much love and support for each other, it really does make for a great celebration.
A huge congrats to the very happy couple!
