Theo and Rebecca celebrated their incredible wedding at the beautiful The Biltmore Hotel, Mayfair.
Although The Biltmore Hotel only officially opened its doors in 2019, it is located on the site of the former Britannia Hotel, designed by Swiss architect Richard Seifert in the 1960s.
My day began by catching the end of Rebecca’s bridal prep, as she had the finishing touches put to her, before heading off and attempting to find the hotel.
I say ‘attempting’, because I can’t deny the trouble I had finding my pre-paid parking spot, resulting in me mistakingly going 5 yards inside the congestion charge zone (well done me!), and eventually having to settle (and pay for) a whole different car park.
Nonetheless, I managed to make it to the venue on time, where I met up with Theo and his family for a few quick family pics before things really got going.
Having photographed Theo’s sister’s wedding only a few months earlier, I was very familiar with the family already, and the sense of deja vu quickly passed.
After the formalities of the tisch, and a spirited walk through to the bedeken, it was soon time for the ceremony, which itself was beautiful to witness, and a privilege to photograph.
And then the celebrations began, starting with the newlyweds walk back down the aisle and truly kicking up a notch once the family pictures were out of the way and the happy couple were announced into the main reception room.
I’ve covered lots of great dancefloors in my time, and I can safely say that Rebecca and Theo’s was right up there with the very best of them, with copious amounts of spinning, swinging, jumping and sweating by all involved.
The speeches throughout the evening were full of warmth and good humour, but when an atmosphere is as electric as it was, its hard to keep people sitting down too long, and the rest of the night was spent pounding the tiles of the dancefloor with everyone in attendance having an unbelievably fun time.
Another huge, huge congrats to the newlyweds!
